In the spirit of all that John Englart achieved and his love of community and life, an intimate gathering of locals celebrated what would have been his 71st birthday at his favourite Merlynston cafe (That Cafe) on Monday 16th Feb. Coincidentally, the same evening, Climate Action Merri-bek held our first monthly meeting for the year with a presentation from Donna Luckman, Merri-bek Council’s Zero Carbon Campaigns Lead. Reaching out to renters (or landlords, real estate agents) to help make homes energy efficient and comfortable is a particular challenge for Zero Carbon Merri-bek/.
